What is Fine Arts?

Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of national youth ministries designed to "help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts."

Beginning in September each year, over 70,000 junior and senior high school students begin preparing their entries for the District and National Fine Arts Festivals. Students may enter as many as 58 categories offered in 8 main divisions: Art, Communication, Dance, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.

2011-2012 Fine Arts Information

Total Cost: $125 for one category / $15 per additional category

*This pays for: registrration, tshirt, hotel, and food

Important Dates to Remember:

  • November 9, 2011 – Applications are due with $45 deposit (all signatures needed).  By signing the application, you and your parents agree to the requirements and payments for Fine Arts.  Note: If you do not hand in the application by this date, you CANNOT participate in Fine Arts.
  • January 25, 2012 – Remainder of the money due
  • Friday March 9 – Saturday March 10, 2012 – District Fine Arts Weekend
  • Practice schedules will be announced once we receive the applications.

Requirements:

1.    Attend any of the CrossFire Discipleship Opportunities – Wednesday Night, Saturday Night, or Sunday Morning Sunday School.
2.    Attend Sunday morning worship service at 10:00am.
3.    Participate in the CrossFire Bible Reading Plan (or continue with your current Bible Reading Plan)

If the requirements are not met, you will not be allowed to participate in Fine Arts.
